Management referrals

These are held remotely but can be held face to face depending on your location. Different types of situations can lead to a management referral the most common being performance, new starters that have declared medical issues that may be relevant to work and absence issues.

We aim to turnover reports within 24 to 48 hours though this may well be delayed when a worker asks for prior viewing.

Every reasonable effort is made to keep reports concise, accurate, written in simple understandable English, offering clear steps and actions to consider depending on how your case progresses after the assessment i.e. what to consider in an ideal scenario if a colleague is fit to return to work or does get better so that they do return work in the future and also what to consider if a colleague remains unable to return in any capacity.

Advise about ill health retirement consideration is also available. Please always speak to an occupational health physician ( even if you do not use this service) before formally applying for ill health retirement. Most pension criteria are very strict requiring your employee to be permanently medically unfit for any work until their state pension age or at least their own role. The right advice can help avoid disappointment.
